As part of our From the Archives series, we remember the 45th Annual Memorial Service held on Sunday, May 26th, 1974 at Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, a valued community gathering place.
This solemn service honored the members of the Tamaqua Fire Department who passed away between April 30th, 1973, and May 1st, 1974. Firefighters, families, and community supporters gathered to pay tribute to their dedication, courage, and sacrifice.
The Memorial Service tradition continues to serve as a meaningful reminder of those who served and inspire current and future generations.
