Welcome to the Official Website of the South Ward Fire Company, Station 4 – Tamaqua, PA
The South Ward Fire Company is one of four fire companies serving the Borough of Tamaqua. Dispatched by the Schuylkill County Communications Center as Fire District 65, Station 4, we proudly serve Tamaqua and its surrounding communities. Our primary response area covers approximately 10 square miles with a population of around 7,000 residents.
Founded in 1799, Tamaqua is located in eastern Schuylkill County. The borough consists mainly of wood-frame structures dating back to the early 1900s, making fire protection and safety a top priority.
Our station operates a fleet of specialized emergency vehicles, including:

- 1 Utility Vehicle
- 2 Brush Units
As a multi-functional fire station, we respond to a wide range of emergency situations. Our dedicated volunteers continually train to stay up to date with the latest firefighting techniques and technology, ensuring the highest level of service and protection for our community.
